About Me

Hi, I’m Chris Farlow, and I’d love to share a little about my journey with you.

I was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey — a busy, vibrant place that gave me a strong foundation in hard work and perseverance. I pursued my degree in engineering, drawn to the logic and problem-solving behind it. But I also had a deep curiosity about people, so I later went on to earn my master’s in psychology. Looking back, it was the perfect balance — one grounded in structure, and the other rooted in understanding the human experience.

Eventually, life brought me to Massachusetts. I lived there for over 20 years, got married, and built a beautiful life with my family. But after two decades of New England winters and as our family’s needs changed, we made the move to Florida for health reasons. The warmer weather was a big factor — it offered a sense of ease and comfort that just wasn’t possible up north anymore.

My journey into health and wellness began long before that move, though. About 25 years ago, I found myself facing the reality of caring for an aging and unwell parent. That experience was incredibly eye-opening. I realized just how much our food and lifestyle choices impact on our health — not just in the short term, but over the course of a lifetime. I dove headfirst into learning about clean eating and natural living, and honestly, it changed everything. It became more than a lifestyle — it became a mission.

Then, when I had my own kids, that mission became even more personal. I wanted to give them the best start I possibly could. I became even more intentional about the products we used, the food we ate, and the environment we created at home. The more I learned, the more empowered I felt — and I wanted to share that with others.

That’s when I realized how much I truly enjoyed being around children. I decided to combine my love of cooking, teaching, and clean living by offering kids’ cooking classes. I ran those classes for two wonderful years — and I loved every minute of it. Watching kids light up as they created something with their hands, learning where their food came from, and discovering healthy habits early in life — it was incredibly fulfilling.

But as time went on, I also had to listen to my body. The physical demands of running classes, being on my feet constantly, and juggling everything took a toll. I knew I needed to pivot again — but I wasn’t ready to let go of the passion I had for health and helping others.

Around that time, a friend of mine suggested I look into tallow-based skincare. I’ll be honest with you; I wasn’t sure at first. But once I started doing the research, I was amazed. Tallow, especially when it’s grass-fed and clean, is one of the most nourishing things you can put on your skin. It’s simple, natural, and effective — and completely aligned with my commitment to clean living.

So, I started experimenting, learning, and formulating — and soon, Wildflower Glow was born. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a business, I’m proud of. It’s a way for me to share something beautiful and healthy with others — skincare that’s rooted in nature and made with real ingredients.

What I love most about this journey isn’t just the products. It’s the people. I love connecting with others at markets and events, hearing their stories, and sharing mine. Whether we’re talking about food, skincare, family, or just life — those moments of connection are what truly light me up.

Life, to me, is about the people we share it with. And I’m so grateful to be building something that brings people together, supports wellness, and makes others feel good — inside and out.
